Tricia (Jones) Schmitt, daughter of Jeff and Lorri Jones, grew up in Mooresville and graduated from Mooresville High School in 1990. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from USI in 1995 and her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1997. Tricia married Russ on July 6, 1996 and they have three sons, Kwinten, Kamden, and Kooper. She is a member of the Mooresville-Decatur Rotary Club and past President of the Mooresville Kiwanis Club.

Russ grew up in Haubstadt and graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1987. Russ served in the United States Army during the Gulf War. Russ earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from USI in 1997 and is a 7th grade Geography Teacher at Paul Hadley Middle School. He also coaches football, basketball and baseball at the Jr. High and little league levels as well being a member on the Jr. League boards.

Tricia performs different roles for Jones Crossing, which includes a majority of the accounting and administrative aspects, but can also jump in to meet with a prospective group or event, help with the arrangement of centerpieces, chair covers, room set ups and tear downs and be on site for an event. Russ jumps in wherever he is needed also, whether he is helping with a setup, teardown, chair covers or in the beautification of the grounds. Their sons, Kwinten and Kamden can be found helping set up for an indoor or outdoor wedding, chair covers, stage setups or in the landscaping end of things. Kooper is learning the ropes and apprentices with his brothers and extended family.

The Schmitt family is very family oriented. Most of the time you will find Russ and Tricia in attendance at one ballfield or another since all three of their boys are very involved in football, basketball and baseball. When they find time, Russ and Tricia enjoy reading and traveling.
