Kassie & Trey – Married in the Fall at Jones Crossing (psst. There’s Wine)

Kassie and Trey Started Their Wedding Journey in Gatlinburg

Kassie & Trey were one of the amazing couples who got married at Jones Crossing in the fall of 2018. It can be a fickle time in Indiana, but you can see from the photos, everything cooperated in their favor!

We were interested in hearing their love story, and Kassie was kind enough to share her thoughts on her wedding experience at Jones Crossing. Her photographer, Tara Leitzman, shared these super cute shots of the big day with us too!

Let’s go!

Hey Kassie! What was your wedding date? October 13, 2018

What was your Photographer’s Name? Tara Leitzman

If other couples need a photographer, how can they reach her? They can email her here: taraleitzman@yahoo.com

Alright, let’s get to the details. 🙂 Tell us your love story!

Trey and I have been together for 4 years. We got engaged in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, while hiking an 8-mile trail to a beautiful waterfall called Ramsey Cascades, the tallest falls in the Smoky Mountains. While admiring the falls, Trey got on one knee and asked me to be with him forever. One of the many things that made us the most excited about Jones Crossing was the waterfall feature which perfectly matched our engagement. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our love with our family and closest friends.

How Many Bridesmaids Did You Have? 6

What Were Your Wedding Colors? Maroon and Gray

Everyone has their own special moments on their big day. Tell us about yours!

My grandfather officiated the wedding, which made the ceremony even more special. We decided to use a wine box for our unity ceremony in which we each wrote a special letter to one another and locked it in a box with a bottle of wine. The goal is to open it in 10 years and read over each other’s letters while drinking from the bottle of wine. So far, we’ve done a good job at refraining from opening it!

Did anything you wore have special meaning?

Yes! The earrings I wore were pearls given to be from my mother. Pearls have been passed down through my family and is definitely my favorite piece of jewelry.

Tell us about the songs you picked and why you chose them!

Most of the songs that were played were rock/classic rock songs as that is the music we prefer. Our first dance was to Warmness on the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold (bride’s favorite band), and I believe it is the only love ballad the band has written. We also played the normal dance hits that our guests could break down the dance floor with.

What made your wedding day stand out as the best day of your life?

It was so nice just having everyone we love with us celebrating the love that we share. I have never had a day as filled with love as I did our wedding day. There is nothing I would change about the day – everything was perfect.

Why Did You Pick Jones Crossing?

The biggest reason we picked Jones was because of the waterfall, but we also loved how the venue coordinated a lot of other services needed for the wedding. It helped ease a lot of the stress knowing of all the things Jones would be taking care of for us. Another big perk is that the venue is not too far from the Indianapolis airport. We had a lot of family traveling to Indiana for our wedding, so this really helped ease the pain of traveling.

Would You Refer Jones Crossing to Another Couple? Absolutely!
