Taylor and Cody’s Country Chic Outdoor Wedding
An Unplugged, Outdoor Country Chic Wedding
Taylor and Cody were one of the first couples to get married at the new outdoor Country Chic wedding venue area at Jones Crossing. Though it was a drizzly day, the clouds seem to be a really nice accent to the unplugged, fully present ceremony that Taylor and Cody were hoping for at their wedding ceremony.
We are happy that Donna Rice Photography was there to capture some super cute moments and the use of the updated office area with barn doors inside Jones Crossing as a backdrop.
We asked Taylor to give us a look inside her relationship and wedding day with Cody. Read what she had to say! Photos by Donna Rice follow so you can see all the pretty shots!

Tell Us Your Story:
Cody and I started our love story back in December 2012. For the next 3 years we spend every second we could getting to know each other, loving each other and laughing with one another. While the first three years had the good times, we also had bad times.
In 2015 we decided it was time to take some time apart to focus on each other and our goals in life. While we never really spoke, we always knew the love was still there. Exactly one year(2016) after the break up, we found each again. We picked up like nothing had happened.
We were still like two little kids in love! We loved harder, communicated better and realized that we never wanted to be away from each other again.
Fast forward to December 23, 2017, Cody decides that it’s been long enough and he’s ready to marry me. Cody proposed to me in the most realistic simple manner.
One night before Christmas, I was cooking dinner and he was in the bedroom just standing there with his back towards me. I went to the bedroom to see what he was doing. When I asked what’s up? He turned looked at me and said “will you marry me” as he got down on one knee.
I couldn’t believe that I was finally getting to spend the rest of my life with my best friend!!
Cody makes me smile like no other, he gets my sense of humor, he makes my bad days easier and he loves me for all that I am. I’m so blessed to been able to marry the man of my dreams in 9/9/18. After all, we’ve always added up. ❤️

Special Moments to Note With Family or Friends?
There had always been an inside joke with a family friend of mine, Craig. My parents and Craig would have so long, alcohol filled night at the lake every weekend. One night Craig decided to show us his dance moves to “Blue Suede Shoes” by Elvis. I will never forget that night! So I decided on my wedding day, that I had to incorporate the humor to my day. Therefore, the DJ played the song for Craig and I to have a dance off too.
Special Meaning of Your Dress, Tux, Jewelry, Shoes, etc?
My mother in law and I had talked one night prior to my wedding day that I didn’t have something “old or blue”. My MIL told me a story about a blue handkerchief that was her grandmothers that had been used in every women’s special day in the family.
On my wedding day, she gave me the handkerchief to wear in my boots. It was so special as it had meant a lot to her as well as me.
What Made Your Wedding Day the Best Day of Your Life?
Our wedding day as the best day of my life just for the fact that it was the one day we were able to get all of our close family and friends together in one place to celebrate our love. Cody and I are very simple couple. Small group of friends, a close family. It was nice to have everyone that meant the most to us there for our special day!

Why Did You Pick Jones Crossing?
When I first looked at Jones Crossing for a possible wedding venue, I fell in love. I loved the Country Chic setting outside. It was something I had always imaged my day to be. I always wanted an outdoor ceremony that incorporated the Country/French feel. Jones made sure that my vision for that feel came true.
